• The 5K Run, 10K Run and 5K Walk will take place as usual, but are not going to be bib-timed this year. General course time clocks will be visible - Or if you would like to self-time, be sure to wear a watch.

• All events will start and finish on the grounds of The Wild Animal Sanctuary! Start and Finish lines are within easy walking distance from the Sanctuary's 48,000-square-foot Welcome Center and free on-site parking!

• Events take place entirely on dirt and gravel courses - every runner loves them!

• Beautiful, scenic routes weave between Lion, Tiger, Bear and other wild animal habitats!

• Top-of-the-line tech shirt & running cap included in each paid race registration! ($25 value) 

• Plan to arrive early in order to pick up shirts and hats on race day. Items will NOT be mailed. *TWAS reserves the right to provide a different size or substitute design based on availability.*

• Browse a variety of vendors at the Expo before and after your event!

In some of the previous years we have received excessive rains that made our run/walk course too dangerous and muddy to utilize for the event. In the event the running course becomes excessively muddy and unsafe, participants will not be allowed on the course. Everyone will still have the opportunity to engage with vendors and enjoy food and drinks. Additionally, the Mile Into The Wild Walkway will still be accessible.
