We currently face significant challenges in the following areas:
- A serious need for increased cold storage, since we consistently run out of cold storage space for donated items, which causes us to turn away precious food donations that we could put to use.
- A need for additional space to clean, wash and rinse hundreds of food barrels on a daily basis – which is an important requirement of our Walmart food donation program.
- A need for increased floor space to process the myriads of food items that arrive daily, since our food sorting stations require significant space to allow volunteers to sort food items into various protein-specific barrels.
- More floor space to improve our ability to transport hundreds of 45-gallon barrels to and from numerous locations.
- Bathrooms for our staff and volunteers.
- A dedicated break room for the staff and volunteers to rest between shifts.
